I love vanilla and this one is a warm comforting smell. The leather makes it not a sweet vanilla but it's so good! I layer it with Kefi, Velvet Tango or Le cirque
The cool girl vanilla of my dreams!! This opens with a creamy & sweet vanilla with a hint of depth from the bourbon note. As it dries down (for me about 30 minutes in), the leather note starts to come out. The way it mixes with the vanilla makes it feel like a cool girls favorite leather jacket. It’s a warm leather, not like a new car interior type of leather. Id recommend this to anyone who wants a bit more of a unique take on a creamy vanilla!!

This is such a beautiful vanilla, with a warm and pleasant leather note. It is a touch animalic but also gives the warmest hug with that amber. A beautiful blend. I love it!
Tomboy is a very grounded, mature vanilla. I’m new to fragrance and I’m exploring scents and notes I might like. I’ve dabbled with vanilla scents before but they always presented as too sweet or overly feminine. I feel like this definitely still has a feminine lean, but that leather really solidifies it into a warm almost musky situation. It’s much like getting a warm hug from someone in a leather jacket who’d been baking in the sun with vanilla perfume.
As far as longevity, it lasted me about 6 hours. The projection isn’t overbearing or strong, and leans a little more intimate on the skin. I prefer a bit more boldness personally, but it’s a really nicely put together fragrance.
I had my impressions of this from the discovery set, it’s definitely the weakest out of the bunch but it’s a very comfortable, casual scent for those looking for an all around wear.
I wasnt totally sold on this one when choosing my discovery set. Always goes to show dont judge a book by its cover. This is a close second favorite next to Night Market. Definitely a soon to be purchased item.
The dry down is amazing….. let’s start there. A sophisticated vanilla. A little fun but grown up. But the first spray?….. Baby wipes. You gotta let it sit or you believe you’ll smell like baby wipes the whole day. I promise you that you won’t. It loosens up a little and becomes more wearable as you go.
Sexy Amber Vanilla, warmed leather.
This is very warm amber and vanilla scent. The leather isn’t overpowering but gives it just that warmth of a well work leather jacket.
The vanilla toes the line of gourmand, an absolute delight to smell. This is the kind of perfume that reminds me I love gourmands.
If you tried Beltane but thought it was a bit too intense and firey, give this a shot.

Didn't like at first. Totally dismissed it until I decided to reach for my little sample box and try it again..it's amazing. The vanilla is soft. The leather is soft. But it's not too feminine. I hate those candy sweet perfumes that make you smell like confection. To me, this is one of the best vanilla perfumes out there.
I was really intrigued by this scent profile, even though it's not my typical go to, so I put it in my sample pack. Once the alcohol wore off, it dried down to something familiar that I couldn't quite place at first. Then I realized that I was smelling my brother. He used to wear CK Obsession for men back in the day. This has the same sweet leathery DNA. This, however, is more well blended. Obsession tiptoed the line of cloyingly sweet. It was like heavy brown sugar and a brand new leather jacket. It was pretty rough, in comparison. This is more like suede with marshmallow fluff, and maybe a hint of patchouli hanging out in background. It is definitely unisex. I think men could rock this scent, too. It gives off cool confidence, without being a loud, beast-mode fragrance. I would say projection is moderate for the first two hours and then it becomes more of a skin scent. I could smell it on my wrists for about five hours. This scent profile is not for everyone, but if you're curious like I was, get a sample. This is one that you definitely need to try on your skin to see if it works with your chemistry. Ultimately, I decided it wasn't for me (especially since I couldn't get the association with my brother out of my head), but this is good juice for this DNA.

This smells like getting your best leather jacket back from your meemaw after she's made her state fair award winning vanilla cookies. Rich, full vanilla and dark leather. Fantastic.
Wow—this was love at first sniff. As someone who appreciates everything from sweet gourmands and bright florals to deep, sexy tobaccos and bold leathers, I have to say: Tomboy checks all the sexy tobacco and bold leather boxes. MDA makes some of the best tobacco and leather-based fragrances I’ve ever smelled, and Tomboy is no exception. The blend of vanilla, bourbon, and vetiver creates an addictive opening—warm, slightly boozy, and perfectly balanced. Then the leather rolls in, rich and unapologetic, softened just enough by tonka, labdanum, and that signature MDA depth. The olibanum adds a touch of smoke and mystery, giving this a cool edge without being too sharp. This is a true unisex scent, but on my skin, it leans warm and a little sweet in the drydown—which I absolutely adore. Tomboy is confident, cozy, and effortlessly cool. I’m obsessed.
So I’m working my way through some discovery sets, and I went to test a new one this morning but Tomboy is still lingering on my arms from the night before, so I’m testing it all over again from the beginning.
The opening note of leather in this is very strong, yet supple, and sweetened by the boozy vanilla. Vetiver and frankincense are lending some dry, smoky, and spicy nuances. Most of these notes burn off after many hours and I’m left with a smooth, but not too sweet vanilla drydown. Very impressed!
I bought this originally as a sample just ordered a full bottle! This is a stunning mix that is so sexy, is it moves through the notes and it lasts a very long time I couldn't stop smelling myself. I am not a vanilla person but I love a good leather this changed my mind the vanilla makes the leather so grown up sexy
Oh my gosh, this is IT! Slightly smells like your dad's classic aftershave at first, then dries down to the most lovely sweet vanilla, with the spicy, masculine undertones. I LOVE this scent! It's so unique and lasts forever on me!

Another incredibly well-blended fragrance. I do not want to smell like this but it took me on a fascinating scent journey. This is a slightly older butch lesbian in an all-female biker gang. Her leather jacket is a worn-in hand-me-down from her dad who was in the military. It smells like the cigarettes he used to smoke and gasoline. She’s drinking with her buddies at a dive bar on the outskirts of town. If you get close enough, you can faintly smell the vanilla-scented body wash her wife purchased. She buys everyone a round of whiskey shots.

I was intrigued by the Champaca note in this scent and opted to purchase a sample of it. Boy am I glad I did because this scent is not blind buy safe! On a paper test strip, I got a slightly sweet, musky, soft-sueded leather with a lightly woody dry down from the vetiver. Sounds lovely, right?! Well, I decided to wear test it and yikes! On my skin it became sharply medicinal and took ages to reach that light woody note I had enjoyed on the test strip. Even after attempting to scrub it off, the scent still lingered on (no issues with longevity with this one!) While this scent was a miss for me, I would recommend trying a sample of it. If only it had smelled on me like it did on paper.
Tried Tomboy as a part of the Discovery Pack - wow! It really lives up to it's description and more. Both strong and soft, vibrant and yet airy, Tomboy continues to improved as the day progresses. Appropriate for dress up or for daily wear, it delightfully fits both occasions perfectly.
