I sprayed this on my wrist, and my olfactory system was blinded by the bright silk tree (mimosa) blossoms. Blinded in a good way though!
It’s like being overwhelmed because something is unexpectedly delightful, but not being prepared for it.
The name fits the fragrance well, but it's less of a delirious nightmare and more like Tinkerbell just punched me in the face with a bouquet of mimosa blossoms and I’m weirdly into it.
The opening is a bright-as-hell floral note, that’s radiant and joyful. But here's the thing: I dislike most white and yellow florals. I (almost) hate them. So I was shocked that I didn't immediately scrunch my nose in disgust. Instead, I was kind of ENCHANTED 🤩 The mimosa is carrying this entire performance and she deserves a standing ovation. 👸
Unfortunately I don’t get much of the raspberry note.😕 If it's in there, it's hiding in the back, whispering shyly to a soft musk molecule. The dry-down is where the vanilla and cream (like a fancy cupcake) are introduced. Then, there’s a tiny ghost of raspberry that's too shy to introduce itself. Maybe it shows up much later, but honestly? I don't even care. This is gorgeous.
TLDR: It’s an aggressively pretty floral with vanilla cream and shy-guy raspberry notes. Wear it to a wedding but not the office! 🥰
If I would have read these notes before smelling it, I would have written the whole thing off beforehand.
Grass?
I would have assumed it would be too green and then tart because of the raspberries and then where does the cream even fit into this?
But listen here! This wow-ed me, in that it was absolutely far from my realm of thinking. Earthy, creamy and a touch of sweetness. Smooth, warm, clean.

So upset! Got a sample of Fever Dream and wanted a 10 ml decant which I couldn’t find. So, ordered a 30 ml bottle. Why am I upset? Because I absolutely should have gotten a larger bottle. That’s how much I love this easy to wear fragrance. I’m no good at describing scents but I am thrilled to have this. Now it’s just a matter of how long I can go before already ordering a backup bottle!
When I tested this as #0038, I went nuts for it. I dropped the tester bottle by accident but lucky had sprayed it on a test strip that I swear I sniffed all of the scent out of! Now I have it in a bottle and it's every bit as dreamy as I remember. I normally am not a fan of grassy fragrances but this is officially my favorite. The sweet grass note in Fever Dream rides over the mimosa and raspberry like a delicate lace. It's there, you notice it but you also notice what lies underneath and want to see more. The raspberry is dark and almost like a syrup lightly sweetened with a dark brown sugar. The mimosa lightens it up like you've caught a sweet breeze. It truly is lovely and I'm so glad it has been offered as a special release. I may have to get another bottle if this ends up having a limited run. To say I love this fragrance is an understatement. I want my whole world to smell like this.
I love the raspberry note up front! It’s beautifully sweet, but not cloying. It’s a bright and playful fragrance that reminds me of my youth!

Green and tart. Undertones of wood and warmth. Silky. Good longevity but wears close to the skin on me. Reminds me of Prairie but this has a bit more warmth. Perfect for a hot summer day.
Interesting scents and am definitely upgrading Limerance and Paloma!
Love my sample of this and the others I have gotten- Night Market, Celeste, Limerence, I have most of them! All lovely, some work well more than others wy chemistry, but they are gorgeous and so niche, thank you.
Pure nostalgia… i can’t explain it but this scent was like something that evokes fond memories and can’t put my finger on it. It is cozy and intoxicating. Need full bottle now!
Smells nothing like described
This one really grew on me, and is turning out to be one of my favorite scents by MDA! I've had more than one person tell me I smell like churros while wearing it, which I love. That being said, Fever Dream does have a very sweet, baked-goods quality that I really enjoy, but the sweet grass and raspberry lend a fresh contrast so that the final result is not overly sweet. Long lasting and delicious!
Fever dream was an unexpected winner in my discovery set that I ordered, so much so that I got a 30ml. It's a wonderfully soft woody raspberry that opens with a scent that I can only describe as the air that rises when you mix buttercream frosting with a mixer. It's not the frosting itself, but the air around it. The scent dries down into a soft cozy raspberry/orris/soft woods scent that I really can't get enough of. If you're on the fence, get a sample and be amazed.

initially I'm not getting a big raspberry scent, top notes are definitely pretty grassy/earthy - not at all in a bad way. the sweet notes start coming out shortly after. its sugary, creamy, and citrusy all at once. hint of vanilla too! not necessarily an everyday type scent for me but still delicious.

The journey this fragrance takes you on. The initial spray is strong and sharp but five minutes later it becomes a beautiful warm floral. Its so unique. I've never smelled anything like it. I will be upgrading to a full bottle. Definitely signature scent worthy!
This was my favorite from the 5 samples I purchased. On skin is where you will really smell the sweet lactonic notes. And it is divine. I don’t get much of a raspberry note on the top , only a whiff , but I’m fine with it. IMO full bottle worthy. I feel like I could wear this fragrance day or night/ office or going out. Side note- all the samples when I sprayed on paper test strips, I can easily still smell them all a week later. Yes 7 days later!
Fragrance is fresh and sweet in that order, I'd probably give it a 4.5 only because I didn't get the raspberry as much as I'd thought.
That said I'm absolutely getting a full size for spring time. The sweet grass and cream combo is really lovely for those who like cleaner scents.
Warm, sweet and green. I don't get as much raspberry as I wanted. The Mimosa comes through and I'm not big on boozy scents. It's not bad at all, it just isn't for me.
I really liked my sample so I ordered the purse size. Absolutely going to try more samples. I also love that they send a sample of another scent with your order. The customer service is above and beyond.
received as a sample with a recent purchase. this one is different than some others I’ve tried from MDA. the grass and mimosa provide dryness to cut the thickness of raspberry in a pleasant way. it is not a gourmand.
I live in the Midwest and the smell of fresh-cut sweet grass during hay season is one I do wish you could bottle up and sell! however I couldn’t help but feel like this scent was wearing me rather than the other way around. might revisit this one in the spring and see how it responds to a little heat—I feel like she needs some skin to bring her back down to earth.

This is just absolutely gorgeous, I think this will probably be the second full bottle I buy. I’ve been looking for something with a raspberry note, this came out just in time. It opens with that raspberry burst and it still lingers in the background as the scent develops into this soft, dreamy woods scent. It’s so nice, I think especially during springtime it would really stand out. The sweet grass and wood is definitely there, but overall it just really reminds me of a not overly sweet red raspberry licorice scent. 10/10 guys, I’m blown away.
Maybe it's my nose, but I unfortunately did not detect much, if any, of the sweet notes mentioned when I tried my sample. I got grass, but it was a very bitter, dirty sort of grass, like hay that needed mucked out of a barn stall very badly. I wish I could've gotten the raspberry or cream notes. Even as the scent dried down, I was still getting mostly bitter grass and only the faintest hint of something sweet. Perhaps this just isn't the MdA fragrance for me.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SCENT! It came as a tester with another order of two scents I also am in love with and well….looks like I need to order this one too! It’s a real statement and extremely unique and sophisticated. Will be spending more money now. lol thanks! 🤣
